Housing Advisor Driver (Portishead)

Housing Advisor Driver (Ref Hr312) Fixed Term Contract until the 29th December 2011 Up to £17000 per annum depending on skills and experience 37 hours a week Based from Portishead with frequent travel around the North Somerset area We currently have a requirement for a full-time Housing Advisor Driver to join our Area Services Team until the end of December 2011. The position involves delivering a housing advisory service to our tenants around the North Somerset area from a mobile office vehicle. You will act as an ambassador for the organisation by providing an effective meet and greet service to our customers which includes providing general advice on a range of housing issues. You will get involved in inspections associated with the management of tenancies and associated land when required as well as maintaining housing related records and statistics. You will also be responsible for carrying out regular checks and procedures associated with the safe and lawful operation of the vehicle and its equipment. This includes organising servicing and maintenance for the vehicle as required. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. The ability to organise and prioritise tasks whilst working independently is also essential. Previous experience of working within a housing or community related role with customer facing duties would be highly desirable. You will need to have a category C1 driving licence. We are currently looking for two practitioners for a supported housing project in Ipswich The project works with 16-18 year olds and we offer specialist support through social work led service provision and housing accommodation of a high standard. We are currently looking for Social Worker or Senior Supported Housing Worker The post involves working directly with young people supporting them to manage their daily routine and developing targets and skills for their future you will also be responsible for supervision of staff within the project and creating and developing support plans. As part of your role you are also responsible for completing keyworking sessions writing reports and attending statutory reviews. A social work qualification and registration is desirable but this is not essential and applications would be considered from those with significant experience and demonstratable skills Rota is in place and hours are flexible. 36 hours per week and four sleep ins with a salary between £20500 and £23000 (inc sleep in) Also Support Worker (10 hours per week plus 2 x sleep in) We are also looking for a second practiioner to undertake support work for 2 evenings per week.
