You should be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative have good English language skills fast and accurate typing computer skills and good organisational admin abilities. You will be trained into production-managing book projects starting with the basics and working into more challenging work according to your abilities. Duties will include (but not be confined to) general office work controlling the office systems pulling together freelancers and schedules and authors liaising with authors and others working with production and marketing teams doing manuscript reading assessments pre-editing editing writing blurbs and other materials anything goes really. Preference will be given to applicants who have at least a basic idea of desktop layout work. You must have your own Home Office set up with all you need this is a freelance position and you are expected to have all you need to carry out the work.
