Production Engineer (Poole)

We are currently looking for a Production Engineer to join a heavy manufacturing plant in Poole. Main duties and responsibilities will include design and coordination for the production considering costs ease of repair and foundry production criteria. There is a specific software in use Ms office 2d Acad 3d SolidWorks Magmasoft casting simulation. Involvement in the technical quality and operational problem solving activities within the plant will be required such activities being documented using relevant internal systems e.g. Corrective Action Reporting (C.A.R Process Trials Record Continuous Improvement Process Change Log etc. There will be investigation and analysis of both internal and external quality problems and implementation and or authorisation of corrective and preventative measures. Application of Lean statistical and non-statistical analysis techniques where appropriate. Working independently to resolve tasks as well as in team-based process improvement activities such as through internal continuous improvement teams and lean teams. Implementation and review of processes and process controls to optimise product quality and production and to minimise costs as well as reduce internal and external reject levels (scrap and customer returns. Technical support and direction of the Pattern Makers. Qualifications Expected Degree in Product Design Engineering or related qualification.
