Technical Support and Quality Assurance Coordinator (Leeds)

£18k 22k negotiable depending on experience Gym membership Health Insurance We are a growing Leeds based software development company delivering software as a service used by the majority of Ftse 100 companies. We are ideally looking for someone with a technical support background or a graduate with a high level of related skills. The successful candidate will also receive training as necessary to cultivate the required skillsets and complement their existing knowledge. The role will be varied and include Testing fixes and features as completed by the development team Managing source code merges and updates Creating and publishing build release notes Performing site software and database updates Updating internal technical documentation Managing technical queries from clients and co-ordinating bug fixes with the development team Testing live demo and staging environments Working with the development team to design perform and interpret unit tests Assisting with day-to-day server maintenance and managing backups where required Analysing automatic and customer submitted bugs defining requirements for reproduction Producing technical specifications for new features Basic work with Css Html Required skills the candidate should have include A keen eye for detail A methodical approach to fault-finding Technical support experience and or a relevant science based university degree The ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following Knowledge of the Quality Assurance workflow and common case bug tracking applications A keen interest in areas such as programming application development web design etc Experience working with any of Sql server Vb (or similar Javascript Linq Mvc Html Css Ajax Industry qualifications from recognised institutions such as Cisco Microsoft Comptia etc. Although a high level of experience or specific qualifications are not required this is a varied role and would suit someone with a broad technical knowledge and desire to work in a variety of areas. The successful candidate will not only help to improve the stability and performance of existing software used by the majority of Ftse100 companies but also play a significant role in the way the software develops in the future.
