Bid Manager (United Kingdom,Manchester)

The company are a leading Contractor working across the energy and power generation sectors. As a result of new contract wins and continued expansion we are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join the existing team in Manchester. The Bid Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing resources to ensure that proposals are prepared correctly and issued to prospective clients. You will ensure the timely submission of winning proposals through efficient and effective adminstration of the bid management process. You will take personal responsibility for proposals of a smaller value and complexity. The successful candidate will be the prime point of contact to the client throughout the process and will assist the Proposals Sales Managers during post-tender negotiations. The Bid Manager will also direct and supervise the work of more junior staff within the department. Experience required You will undoubtedly be very commerically astute and will have extensive experience of managing proposals and the proposal process within either the Oil Gas or Nuclear sectors. Some experience of working on bids for international projects would be a distinct advantage. A background in Engineering or related discipline would also be a distinct advantage.
