Sen Teacher (Asd) (Enfield )

Sen Teacher (Asd) September 2011 An Autistic Spectrum Disorder (Asd) resource base in the London Borough of Lewisham requires a highly experienced Asd teacher to head up their expanding unit. This position is a Maternity cover and commences in September 2011. To be considered for this vacancy you must have a minimum of 5 years UK teaching experience and have spent at least a year working with children on the Autistic Spectrum (this can be in an Sen or mainstream environment. A post graduate qualification in Autism is highly desirable but not essential. You will be working with a very wide range of abilities and many of the children within the unit are non-verbal therefore the ability to differentiate work and set achievable targets is paramount. A good working knowledge in Pecs and familiarity with Teachh is also essential.
