A manufacturer in Milton Keynes is seeking a Buyer to join their expanding team offering a salary of £30000 plus a 2.5 annual bonus. As a Buyer you will Be the prime contact for any purchasing spare part consumable related material Manage invoices Seek best value lowest total cost supply arrangements Identify opportunities for cost reduction Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of the stores Negotiate major contracts prices terms and conditions Work Closely with Group Purchasing to share process saving initiatives potential Group Purchasing deals and manage Group Initiatives Utilise Sap and Excel to improve procurement process and lower purchase cost Have close working relationship with all departments especially Engineering to maximise benefits gained Have daily contact with key internal customers to understand purchasing stores issues to communicate stores position around critical parts and to implement agreed action Develop maintain and publish stores Kpis. The ideal Buyer will hold the following skills and experiences Experience within a Purchasing or Procurement role Manufacturing Purchasing experience Working knowledge of Sap Working knowledge of Mrp systems Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel.
