Network Administrator (Network Ops Team 25,000 to £32,000 (Kingston Upon Thames)

Job Description Network Administrator Salary £25000 to 32000 depending on experience Wifinity are a rapidly growing Wireless Internet Service Provider. We provide managed Internet services to large campus style environments such as Military Camps University and large apartment blocks through out the United kingdom and Germany. We are currently seeking a talented Network Administrator with at least 2 years network administration experience. You will be in charge of administering a network that has a footprint of 25000 users and comprises of 5000 pieces of network infrastructure geographically spread around Europe. We will be expecting you to keep a close eye on the networks health and raise work orders for our network field team when issues arise as well as deal with any issues that can be resolved remotely As well as keeping the network running smoothly you ill be in charge of provisioning new equipotent and ensuring all devices are prepared for installation before they leave the office. This will involve assigning Ip addresses recording Mac addresses uploading firmware adding devices to the relevant management monitoring system configuring managed switches and providing documentation to the field based installation team. Specific skills required for this role A firm understanding of how data networks operate. Advanced network trouble shooting skills. Good work prioritization abilities Experience of working with Vlans Experience of working with wireless networks and an understanding of the challenges related to managing large Wireless Networks The ability to conceive develop and deploy internal procedures. Be an excellent communicator both verbally and written. Be able to work within a busy team and independently UK Eu Driving Lisc Duties will include Day to day monitoring of network infrastructure including o Wireless Access points o Microwave Links o Managed Switched o Adsl Connections o Leased Fiber Connections o Routers o Load balancers Aggregators Provision test and prepare new kit for installation. Provide support to our field engineering team Provide 2nd line support information to our technical support team. Prepare weekly network management reports Perform scheduled network maintenance such as config backups firmware upgrades etc Ensure out network management and monitoring tools are update. Perform benchmark tests on nee hardware and make recommendations to management. Remotely manage several hundred Adsl Fiber connections.
