Ac Bias Multi Skilled Engineer Required for Maintenance and Call Out (Bournville)

Reports to Technical Manager Job Overview We are looking for a multi skilled engineer who is bias in Air Conditioning Maintenance. The successful candidate should have the necessary qualifications to repair and maintain a full spectrum of systems ranging from split A C units Vrf systems Air handling units and chillers across a portfolio of sites. The multi skilled engineer will also responsible on a daily basis for maintaining a high level quality of service with regards to the general maintenance upkeep of the client s buildings equipment and plant. This involves the provision of a high standard proactive service by providing Planned Preventative Maintenance in line with a schedule whilst also ensuring a quick response time to the reactive problems communicated via a help desk. The works are not limited to A C In addition the maintenance engineer may have a high level of interaction with external clients and therefore should possess excellent communication skills and maintain a high standard of presentation at all times. Although working on their own initiative maintenance engineers report directly to the Technical Manager and liaise closely with the Facilities coordinator s. Main Duties and Responsibilities Providing immediate responses to any problems that may arise over a number of sites. Carrying out the Ppms. Reacting to reactive breakdowns promptly Familiarising themselves with the buildings plant equipment drawings O&Ms help with the confirmation of the site s asset register assist with inputting of information to the Mms. Carrying out daily checks in the following- Building Walkthroughs checking for blown lights leaks blockages safety issues etc. Plant room checks checking for correct operation of plant indicator bulbs working correctly rounds and readings of plant safety issues etc. Ad hoc duties within parameters of ability Being available on a call out rota to attend site for any air conditioning or other break downs at any time. Person Specification Essential Experience and Skills Relevant trade qualification and post qualification experience of at least 5 years in a similar role. Essential qualifications as follows (or equivalent) Nvq Level 2 Engineering Manufacture C&G 20708 safe handling of refrigerants Ipaf License for working at height Basic Electrical Knowledge (16th or 17th edition update required) Experience with the repair and fault finding on A C units Chillers and Ahus Fcus. Experience of repairs to the full spectrum of systems ranging from split A C units multi split systems roof top packaged units air handling units and chillers Experience with single and three phase electrical distribution systems. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to address difficult issues with energy and diplomacy. Proven ability to manage a wide variety of tasks with the ability to prioritize and develop new opportunities and solutions. Able to develop effective working relations with colleagues. Excellent Administration and Pc Skills. Measured and consistent approach to all functions and responsibilities.
