Manufacturing Engineer (Telford)

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager the main responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer will be to lead and participate in Pfmea analysis Kaizen workshops lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement projects. You will identify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process and plan for process impact as a result of engineering changes. In addition you will also develop and maintain process documentation books for areas of responsibility according to established corporate and third-party standards such as Iso Ts16949 and Iso 14001 as well as internal standards such as Peil. You will also provide technical aid to production operators and other plant and corporate personnel as required this includes but is not limited to workstation layouts tool selection machine function and interaction. Educated to a high standard or with a proven track record in a similar role the successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret product drawings including components and assemblies with the functional knowledge of intermediate and advanced math functions including trigonometry and algebra and be able to create and interpret graphs and relationships between inputs and outputs. Intermediate or advanced knowledge of the following applications Ms Word Excel Power Point Auto Cad Lt 2002 or higher will also be required.
