1st and 2nd line Support Technician (City of London)

Who are we? We are a specialist Insurance company based in the City of London. Our It department is split between our London and Melbourne (Australia) office. What are we looking for? The successful candidate will be a good communicator and have sound knowledge and possess at least 12 months commercial experience in the following areas Microsoft Os s Server 2003 2008 (Ad Dns Dhcp Iis Windows Xp 7 Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2010 Sql 2000 2005 2008 Classic Asp .Net Scripting Pc and Laptop builds Blackberry (both Bis and Bes) Printers and Photocopiers Ip telephony Microsoft Office Xp 2003 07 10 Tcp Ip knowledge Router Firewall Switches What is the role? To act as first point of contact for It enquiries and requests from users Perform daily system checks maintenance Perform 1st and 2nd line It support activities Assist the It Manager as required You may also be required to assist in non It tasks on an ad-hoc basis You will be Hard working reliable and willing to learn Able to work under pressure Excellent communication diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and spoken English Able work outside of business hours and at weekends if required The salary for this role is up to 25K depending on skills and experience.
