Head and Sous Gastro North London (United Kingdom,London)

This fine dining gastro pub based in north London is currently looking for a head chef and sous chef to continue the day to day running of this established kitchen The Pub has undergone a recent refurbishment and consists of a bar on the ground floor and an 80 cover dining room on the 1st floor as well as a 70 cover enclosed garden. The food is seasonal modern British and is served to a very high standard. As head chef I would expect you to have good all round knowledge of a kitchen and a good knowledge of creating good British food. You should have good understanding of all aspects of kitchen management including Stock taking ordering staff training and staff rotas. You should also be aware of current legislation such as Coshh and Haccp. As sous chef I would expect you to have excellent experience in quality established restaurants or gastro pubs. You should have steady career progression and not moved around too much. This will be a good opportunity for a strong Chef De Partie who is looking for a step up The salary on offer head chef is £28000 and for sous it is £23000 based on 7-8 shifts per week.
