Independent Living Advisor (Ref Hr310) Permanent Up to £16000 per annum (pro rata depending on skills and experience Part-time 18.5 hours a week over 5 mornings An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sheltered Team for a part-time Independent Living Advisor. The successful candidates will assist in the provision of housing related support to older people living in our sheltered accommodation in North Somerset. This valued service will enable residents to remain safe and independent in their homes reduce social isolation and be part of their community. The role involves welfare and intercom checks visits and low level support to a patch of sheltered residents and leaseholders. This role will work closely with our other support services in delivering housing related support to older people. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated team player who can demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills. An ability to understand the needs of vulnerable people and the issues that affect them is also a must. This post is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check and the ability to travel across the North Somerset area is desirable. Closing Date Friday 3rd June 2011
