Support Worker transforming people's lives (East London)

Ics is a well-established social care provider offering supported living services to adults with learning difficulties and or mental health needs. Our Support Workers play a key role in transforming peoples lives. As a Support Worker youll work within a team of staff to provide high quality support to people based upon their needs and wishes. Youll plan together with the people you support and help them to make choices about how they want to lead their lives. Description You will be working with service users whom suffer from learning disabilities challenging behaviour and mild -severe mental health issues Duties include laundry shopping budgeting meal preparation participating in activities social events attending of medical appointments etc Assisting with taking medication Help with decision making what to eat wear go etc To understand any changes in their care plan Promote independence Behaviour and Emotional support Support in their personal safety We require flexible friendly outgoing responsible individuals to work with adults with learning difficulties. Previous experience of this type of work is desirable. There are a number of permanent posts from 17 hours per week up to 37.5 hours. We also wish to recruit relief or bank staff for work as and when required. The posts include daytime evenings weekends and sleepovers on a Rota basis. This post will not attract a work permit and therefore applicants must already have the right to live and work in the UK. All positions are subject to two references and an enhanced Crb Disclosure.
