We have a full time support worker opportunity in one of our residential services. Maltings Close is a medium to long term residential service based in South Leeds working with people who have severe and enduring mental health problems. Workers are expected to be able to adapt their approach to work with a variety of different clients and their individual needs. We expect staff to have a positive and compassionate attitude towards people with mental health problems to be progressive and proactive in their approach and be committed to the concept of recovery and whatever that means to the person they are working with. A mental health support worker will work with service users to achieve their goals. This may include learning practical skills such as cooking cleaning going to college volunteering or working learning to socialise and live with others. The philosophy of the service and Community Links works is one of empowerment respect and independence of service users. We aim to provide a high quality service that assists recovery instills hope improves quality of life promotes equality opportunity and promotes diversity.
