The Job Live-in carer often called a Pa or Personal Assistant for someone who because of a spinal injury often caused by a road or sporting accident uses a wheelchair. By supporting them in day to day activities such as driving cooking dressing and shopping you will be enabling them to live independently in their own home. You will work a rota pattern typically two weeks on and one week off. Our Clients With clients across the UK male and female and aged from 25 to 55 and because our clients are independent individuals there is no typical client which just adds to the diversity and interest of the role of Pa. But vacancies such as this one will give you an idea of the type of lives are clients lead and how your support can be so vital I am a freelance copywriter working from home most of the working week but I do need someone to drive me to meetings and out and about to do my research. The rest of the time I will be bashing away on the computer and it will be your job to keep me supplied with drinks and food throughout the day. Whilst I try to eat healthily to keep my weight in check (because I m not very mobile) I can always be tempted with something hot and spicy or the occasional pudding Throughout the day you will have to answer the telephone a little do some general tidying and cleaning and the usual chores that having your own home brings. I was lucky to be able to stay in my nephews London flat for a week, while searching for live-in caring work. Having the benefit of free accommodation was a great saving.
